VILLAGE RESIDENT RE-ENTRY!

The following re-entry plan established on April 21, 2026 at 6:00pm CST is in order to safeguard the safety and property of residents impacted by the flooding in the Village of Fremont beginning April 16, 2026.

Checkpoint Entry Procedures

All vehicles entering the Village of Fremont will be processed at the checkpoint located at one of the 3 access points.  Access points are located at the intersection of Highway 110 and Wolf River Drive, E Main St and Riverview Ct, and S River Rd. An “Entry Pass” will be issued after a photograph is taken of all adult occupants in the vehicle, along with their identification and/or the vehicle license plate.

Checkpoint operations will be staffed by personnel from the Fremont–Wolf River Fire Department and/or the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department. All photographs will be taken using fire department or law enforcement–issued equipment only.

The Entry Pass will allow for re-entry and exit without requiring individuals to check in again. Personnel issuing passes will document the number of passes assigned to each address.

In addition, individuals will be provided with a “Returning Home from a Flood” checklist, which includes important safety, insurance, and cleanup information.
